Hello caring Souls!
It’s hard to be human when you care about people and see powerful human beings in charge who don’t care like you do. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed. But self-awareness and self-management are tools to take charge of your wellbeing.
How we healthily manage feelings of depression, anger, frustration, and guilt may be achieved through the following.
Release / Let go
Anger is fuel that powers realistic thoughts and actions. But sustained anger turns into frustration.
Frustration is anger doubled by impatience. Frustration drags us down, zapping our energy and just makes us angrier.
And frustration if unchecked leads to resentment. Resentment then turns into bitterness.
And bitterness turns into hatred. So make it your number one goal to learn to let go.
Practice when something small annoys you. Feel and acknowledge it. Then let it go.
Make a commitment to being in the present. Stop worrying or fuming over the past or the future.
Extend this technique to bigger things. It may be hard to start with, but overly worrying only dampens your energy and takes away your focus from other things. Doesn’t it?
Concern about things is necessary. However needless fuming and disappointment and sustained depression is not healthy. So how do we let go of depression?
Our mindset is important. Letting go of opinions and thoughts about things we don’t want can be a huge part of lowering depression. It may be hard for you not to dwell upon the state of things because it’s affecting your loved ones, but you will support them more if you learn not to be depressed.
We can boost ourselves with nurturing things – music, reading, writing, other creativity, nature, loved ones, entertainment, walks, exercise, games, learning new things, and connecting with like-minded others.
Above all is the need to let go.
Prioritize your concerns and congratulate yourself for letting go of the small things. Then challenge yourself to release the bigger things.
Surrendering something undesirable requires effort. Your thoughts are what lead to your feelings. Feelings drive your actions. So commit to consciously changing your thoughts.
Are you like a broken record, playing the same story over and over about how bad somebody or something is? You can make it a goal to stop venting, without solutions, and instead to be productive.
Change your thoughts to those which will create actions to drive the change you want. Realising that compromise, incremental steps, forward planning, and looking for and using possibilities is key also.
Playing the same record over and over is you letting out steam or expressing your emotions.
But there’s only so much “steam” that’s good for you to blow!
Sharing the same problem over and over, without new solutions, is preaching to the converted. Plus it’s wasting your time.
If you like to raise awareness, express it in positive words and terms.
You know that if you accuse others with names or labels that you wouldn’t like others to use for you, you will miss out on educating or inspiring some people. Why wouldn’t you aim for what you want, to reach as many people as possible?
When you release your thoughts and feelings about doom and gloom and what is wrong or could go wrong, you replace them with some sort of peace.
Give peace a chance by letting go what stresses you. Simple, if you actually do it.
Surrendering or releasing does NOT mean that you don’t care. On the contrary it means that you CARE enough to look after yourself one-hundred percent!
Resist the temptation to catastrophize or to talk ad nauseam about what you DON’T want. The more you talk about what you don’t want, the more your’e signalling the Universe or Global Consciousness what your’e focusing on.
And you are magnetizing what you focus on! While some say that this is rubbish, try it out for yourself. Everything is made up of energy and like energy attracts. Holding onto sad thoughts and imagining unwanted things tends to perpetuate it.
Open doors
You know who you are, or you should know. By knowing your own character traits and personality, you’re better able to review your interactions with others. Self-awareness is not just about being aware of what’s happening in the present. It’s about being aware of how you interact with others.
Many people these days feel overwhelmed and depressed about where things are headed. This leads them to be skeptical about the changes that they want.
Let your skepticism lead you to opening doors. Rather than directing more anger and disagreement upon what you don’t want, it makes sense to find ways to carve out what you do want!
Prioritize a focus of just one thing. Focusing on too many arenas ties you in knots.
You would be wise to move from a defensive approach of continually raising awareness of the same problem, maliciously or without new solutions; to stories, content, and actions which inspire people and give perspectives of how change can be brought about.
Opening doors means not returning negative things with the same. If you heap scorn or hurl insults at someone of whom you don’t like what they’re doing, you’re the same as them. Being disrespectful.
Acting civilly is a matter of wisdom. Of course it doesn’t mean that you’re agreeing with someone. Open doors to new ways of methodical learning through things that inspire you. That may be learning the “higher perspective” of your connection to your Soul and to Source, through this publication, “Soul Connexions.”
You might like to open doors to organizations or movements that focus on the same goals as you, or start your own Social Media page or group.
Extend your reach with civil discourse, rather than stay stuck in a box because you’re scared. Fear is worry on over-drive, and often what we fear doesn’t come to pass. So, wisely choose activities and relationships that build up your confidence and help you fulfil your goals!
Always look for opportunities or “doors” to get you where you want to go. We are parts of an infinite world. Looking at challenges as opportunities to learn from and to spiritually evolve is also key to living well.
Have faith
The old is being dismantled through many people around the world seeing what they don’t want. They are reaching out for help on how to change. You can be a role model for others by choosing to be as calm as possible. You can choose to release unhelpful thoughts and feelings, making room for positive things. Others will notice the confidence that comes from you being calm and ready.
Having faith is not the same as wishful thinking or the “positive thinking” that everything is fine.
It’s about faith in something greater than you, that will align things for the highest and best good of all.
Over my 61 years of life I have learned that there is a Source that holds infinite possibilities. But human beings tend to let themselves get dragged to Earth into total physical 3-D drama.
Do you ever feel a “flame of light” at your core?
It is a still sense of God-ness or of “goodness,” i.e. of peace, joy and love. At times when all is going well or when you’re in an enjoyable or loving situation, you will have experienced this. Go for gold!
Recognize this feeling is YOU, it’s who you truly are. Remember it and generate this gold. It is the treasure of your true Self in harmony with Source or God. This strength can power you up to move mountains.
When you feel a strong sense of peace, make a point of capturing and “bottling” it. Press your middle finger and thumb together when you feel it and say to yourself “Peace.” This is a NLP technique called anchoring. You are setting or anchoring a feeling of peace and goodwill when you press your finger and thumb together.
Then you can un-bottle peace when you need it, by pressing your finger and thumb together, to generate it.
When you believe that all there is is what you experience through your five physical senses, you are limiting yourself to working with energy expressed this way. Living things are very dense, solid forms of energy. But ultimately, this energy is composed of light, sound, consciousness, and plasma.
What does this matter, you ask?
It matters because there is a whole lot of “stuff” going on energetically unseen!
Human beings are said to be composed of at least 9 different energy fields in addition to the physical human body. You are more than what you seem.
I have experienced other-wordly energies or the unseen in terms of sensing Angels and Nature Spirits and a cat that had left its physical form, but returned as pure energy to tell me that it was okay as a spirit being. My consciousness has traveled to the past and the future, showing time is not as linear as what we think.
My publication, “Soul Connexions” seeks to present new ways of looking at things. I hope that these perspectives help you change your habitual thoughts to empowered ones. When you perceive yourself as part of something bigger that has the best interest of humanity and life on Earth, it frees you to take steps to be the best version you can be.
Faith in a unified consciousness (that some call God and I call Source) is about faith in what we want unfolding from the intention of unity.
Get out of your own way and connect to your Soul, to your Angels and Spirit Guides, and to Source (or God) to refresh and re-enthuse yourself with a positive outlook.
The world is changing. Look out for the many “good” things happening worldwide, for grass-roots communities and changes that respect Earth and life on Earth, and for more people focusing on equality. Stop watching the mainstream news and tune into the public “good news network” for inspiration.
Releasing unhelpful thoughts (and feelings) and finding like-minded people and movements, bolstered by faith in a “greater power” are the THREE processes that help me navigate this human world.
Instead of thinking or saying, “It’s hard to have faith that things will change,” saying, “I have faith that things will change” will actually rewire your brain. It will charge you with the fuel to release and open doors more easily.
It’s not pretending. It is putting a call out to the “Universe” (i.e. to Source & to your Soul, Guardian Angels and Spirit Guides: the spiritual world) that you’re ready and willing to follow your intuition, assisted by your spiritual team, to reach your goals.
If it’s hard for you to have faith, ask yourself why? Is it because you don’t see beyond one-to-one human interactions? If you relax and open yourself to expanding your consciousness, you should feel an energy around you at a “higher” level. This energy infuses people with the will and the knowledge to take the next right steps toward having all needs met.
If you tend toward pessimism and cynicism, ask yourself why? Can you identify things to be optimistic about? Not everything is doom and gloom. Are you depressed and close to giving up because you care too much about others? You have to look after yourself to be fit for purpose.
Reach out for help if you’re going through something stressful or if you need physical help. Have faith in the goodness of some people.
Faith is believing in yourself as “divine source” at the individual level.
Even if you don’t believe in angels and spirit guides, I invite you to try these three approaches too.
Let go of stressful and unhelpful thoughts.
Open new doors.
Have faith in something “greater” than human beings, that helps us all to positively change.
I have overcome decades of adversity through learning these 3 things and through appreciation. Appreciation lets you focus on the chain of events or processes that lead to helpful thoughts. It shows you that we’re each a part of a network or a “spiders web” of energy and consciousness.
Everything is in constant “play” or in “flux,” i.e. change. While we like to be in control of things or to know things, the natural order of the Universe is that a lot is unknown. BUT positive change is possible.
The more people that connect to life as a tapestry of light, sound, energy, and consciousness, that can be tuned into to create what we want, the more likely this positive change will come about.
And I have learned that this requires me to let go, open doors, and have faith.
