A New Way of Looking At Hope

“Hope” is a feeling of expectation and desire for a particular thing to happen. While belief is an unshakeable mindset or a set of thoughts that something is, based upon one’s values and understanding or knowledge, hope springs eternal. This is because of our hard-wired optimism bias. Even the fight-or-flight response includes hope.
When you’re in danger of something attacking you, of which the opponent is likely to hone in on motion, the instinctual first response is to freeze, with the hope that the threat passes you by. Hope is a vision of something positive.
hope springs eternal (in the human breast)
proverb
it is human nature always to find fresh cause for optimism.
While desire is about want, hope is more than want or desire.
Hope is expecting your desire to eventuate. That is why it is powerful.
Believing that your desire will eventuate can be hard.
Expecting is not the same as believing. Expecting is an emotional choice or a feeling that a want will be fulfilled.
What we think are our beliefs are thoughts about a condition or a state of being that we latch onto and won’t let go off.
A belief is an assurance of something that we think is, while a positive expectation is a feeling of excitement or satisfaction that something will happen.
Hope or expecting a desire to eventuate is achieved by maintaining an expansive and upbeat positive outlook. Believing is more of an acceptance, sometimes without the air of excitement that hoping brings.
Hope:
You believe, not directly in your desire manifesting, but that there is an infinite field of possibilities, and that as things work in mysterious ways, your want will manifest at some time, within the bounds or limits of physical mechanics.
Hope is not empty. Hope is not weak. It is not obsolete or redundant, for it has never been watered down. Hope is about keeping open-minded and living “as if” (using your imagination, and your optimism, based upon potential).
Live as if you’re a human being among others who are conscious enough to realise that we have to work together.
Hope is a waterfall. Let the diamond sparkles of HOPE drop upon you and nourish you. Hope is not about sticking your head in the sand and ignoring the “evidence”.
True HOPE is about sustaining feelings that a circumstance or happening will happen, based upon your and others informed actions.
Let HOPE wash away your worries and your fears, and prepare you for good fortune or serendipity.
Hope can be a tidal wave that lifts you up and carries you through and past your seeming obstacles.
Everything that happens is based upon patterns of frequency woven upon templates of Unity Consciousness. This means that each one of us has the force of Light within us to raise our conscious awareness to realising and living our interdependence.
Imagine, when all is in tune, that everything that ‘is” and that happens, is as a symphony of energy in harmonious patterns.
When things go awry, HOPE is a tool for you to muster COURAGE and ACTION for what you hope for.
Courageous action is the hallmark of the truly hopeful.
Hoping is not passive, it is not about blindly wishing for something and doing nothing to make it happen. That is WISHFUL THINKING not Hope.
FAITH is not Hope. Faith is a function of the mind and spirit, a conviction of the reality of something. Like a mentally based belief, it too is based upon one’s values and understanding or knowledge.
HOPE is based upon expectation, not upon the concrete fact of something, but upon the conscious action of focusing upon something that you want and expecting it to happen.
EXPECTATION is anticipation that something will happen. It is not wrong to expect what you want, if what you want supports an interdependent World.
Hope and Expectation are not stupid. Give hope a chance.
If your hopes are dashed, it will be because you have not managed them well (e.g. you have put a time limit on them or not framed them clearly enough) or your hopes are unrealistic.
Hone your hopes so that your small hopes that feed into your big hopes are fulfilled first. Have belief or faith in your hopes.
Hopes are not about clinging onto something impossible while the world around them crumbles.
HOPE is about knowing that something IS possible, and working TOWARD it with your heart, your mind and your Soul. With patience and tolerance of the patterns that you and I weave, and with creativity, hope springs eternal.
This doesn’t mean that you will always be hoping and never receive or see what you hope for. It means that there is always hope for something until that want or need is filled in some way or form, at some time or in some timeline.
Gandhi, Mandela, and so many others had hope as their drivers. Hope was their superpower.
If you can’t believe in something, then have hope.
Know that your hope is a spring-board for sustaining your wants and for inspiring others to hope and believe. They then water others with hope, and the cycle continues.
Hope is eternal because it is a tool or a way of being that you can pass onto others. You can use hope to sustain your own positive feelings and actions.
Give Hope A Chance. You won’t miss the opportunity to turn a hope into a reality, if you do.
