It’s hard being human. We have external or outer lives as well as internal lives. I believe that everything came from Source or a Unified Field of Creation. This Source is fundamentally made up of light, sound, plasma, and consciousness.
I think that human beings are particular forms of physical matter that embeds itself in Source/Spirit as ways of constraining Source Spirit within the boundaries of being human.
Why would this happen? A reasonable answer is “for the experience.” The catch is that physical human forms have disconnected from Source over eons of time and have been impacted by forms of less light. This has resulted in “unenlightenment” or a lot of distress and hurt and suffering on Earth, sadly.
Source has all that we need for all on Earth to live together in peace, love, and good health, with needs met; while curating or looking after Earth.
To reimburse ourselves for our hard work being human, trying to make sense of things and co-create a fair world for all; I think that we should “pay” ourselves with as much happiness and joy as we can!
What is joy?
Joy is usually considered as a feeling of great happiness and positivity, along with satisfaction and contentment. It’s a deep, abiding sense of pleasure or happiness. And it can be joy at seeing a sunset or a child’s face or an animal friend, or even joy with drinking a cup of cappuccino.
Joy is happiness crystallized into a moment of realization of the high vibrations of peace, happiness, and love, and of receiving upliftment or nourishment.
Joy arises from openness, appreciation, and embracing the energy of happiness.
It’s okay to experience joy for a day or even for an hour or a minute!
We may not feel joyful all the time or most of the time, but that means we can look forward to and embrace our pockets of joy when they bubble up.
The support that joy gives us is huge. Happiness and joy accumulate and generate a wealth of wellbeing and good physical health.
Because we are dense physical forms embedded in Spirit, as human be-ings, we face challenges and situations a lot which make us feel less than joyful.
But we can cultivate joy. Peace, love, and joy are our natural birthrights.
Make it a habit to be joyful regularly, like once a day or once a week. Find your joy through validating yourself and letting your heart find and rest on an experience of unbridled contentment, love, and happiness of your choice.
Practice feeling joy and you will reap the rewards of feeling peace, contentment, and happiness more often!
How to claim joy
If you’ve been through significant challenges or difficulties, you may need to give yourself permission to be joyful or happy.
Childhood or earlier experiences that have led to fear and other heavy emotions can dampen your natural tendencies toward feeling happy. Emotional and mental stress sucks the happiness out of you.
This can result in you feeling unloved and unworthy. If you’ve spent a life-time or years of being unhappy, how can you feel joy?
The answer lies in small steps and in self-validation.
Validation refers to confirming the truth, accuracy, or validity of something. And in interpersonal contexts, validation means acknowledging and understanding another person's feelings and perspective.
To be joyful you have to be free to be yourself.
Validate yourself as a sovereign or a self-governing person, whom does her/his best to minimize feelings of hurt or being wronged. Validation is important to have a sense of competence and worth. Healthily coping with perceived wrongs is critical to wellbeing.
Self-validation gives you the strength to lessen the impact of unwanted hurts or slights.
Small steps are about creating and bottling up sparks of happiness.
Anticipation
Throughout your day, you may have a feeling of happiness over some things. This feeling may pass though. Here’s when you can turn toward or choose the joy of anticipation.
For example, you read an email about something that you liked, and it gave you a sense of happiness. That happiness may abate, but you can revisit it and look forward to anticipate the next happy email (or other thing). You can look forward to something you’ve planned, like watching a movie or reading a book.
Appreciation
You can cultivate joy by appreciating your happiness. So after something makes you happy, say aloud or silently, “Thank you, thank you, thank you!” This acknowledgement will reinforce what you like, attracting more of it.
If you find it hard to appreciate or be thankful for the small things, try out the following. Let your gaze softly travel around the room or the space that you’re in. Pick out every thing that is helpful or resourceful for you. There will be a numerous number of things, including the air that you’re breathing and the light that’s around you.
Take your time and greet each item or facility with a smile or an inward nod of graciousness. Say silently or aloud, “I see you,” or “That's great,” acknowledging the object or resource with appreciation.
Add, “thank you, each time you see something, OR if that’s too often, after scanning the area, finish your “meeting” with what you’ve got to be thankful for, with “Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
You are merging with the material visible and invisible forms and matter/energy that support you. Or when something makes you joyful, say “That is really great,” or “Terrific, terrific, terrific.” This will integrate the joy so that you absorb it and it lasts longer.
If you don’t appreciate what’s happening in one area of your life, you could subconsciously sabotage your gratitude for other areas.
You are painting your whole life with the same brush, “things could be better,” even if that’s in one arena, e.g. financially or regarding your health.
Yes, maybe that is true, but that’s no reason not to appreciate every single other thing in your life that is going well, is it?
Negativity or a pessimistic outlook will have you focusing on lack, when you could be looking at the complementary, or what you do have.
Think about all the abundance of good things and support in many forms that you do have. Do this without feeling guilty that someone else is missing out. If someone’s missing out, it’s not because of you; it’s because of the collective mindset, something that humanity together has to address.
This leads us nicely onto the next small step.
Seeing a world of possibilities
You can try ramping up your happiness to joy by taking a step back and zooming out to see the whole world as a completely intertwined and interconnected unified “organism” or entity.
The planet and all on it is an Ecosystem of natural elements and forces, and of millions of living organisms, including Homo sapiens or human beings.
As the Moon orbits Earth and the Earth revolves around or orbits the Sun, YOU are one tiny creature on a globe or a rock that’s speeding through the Universe.
When you see that there are infinite combinations of what happens, you can choose to look for, create, and focus on the positive, peaceful, and happy moments. It’s all in the web of life, so ALLOW yourself to be happy!
A small moment of happiness can blossom into JOY when you see or imagine and are THANKFUL for the energies that blend together, to create a HAPPY event for you!
In other words, being truly grateful for the small and the big things, with a smile on your face or internally, can open up visions of connected happy things or of more of what you like.
Cultivate your self-belief, i.e. your trust in yourself fulfilling your goals and your sense of worthwhileness. Develop your faith in being a fractal of Source/God. Living from the heart means having a high frequency of love toward the whole..
YOU are responsible for changing your thoughts, feelings, and actions, to lessen or remove the impact of what you don’t like or want.
Remember your self-validation, that you are capable of managing yourself well. If anything is possible, why not use your freewill to choose the happy, peaceful or positive things?
“I trust myself as divine Source”
Add up your happiness
Nothing is isolated. Everything is connected.
You may not be happy about everything in your life, but focusing on having your needs met (within your choices/planning) and on what gives you happiness can be treated like compound joy.
When there’s a happy moment, give it your full-fledged whole-bodied attention and response. Embody the satisfaction, peace, and thrill of the happiness. Do a dance in your imagination (or outwardly), even if it’s just being happy with a hot cup of tea!
When you truly absorb the energy that makes you happy and integrate it by giving time to bask in it, the feeling of happiness will last longer.
By reliving your happy feelings throughout the day, the sense of being comfortable, content, and happy or looked after will persist.
It’s important to ALLOW yourself to be happy, especially if you’ve been through difficult times when you didn’t experience happiness much!
Positivity, love, peace, and happiness attract the like; and compound happiness is the result of dwelling on your happy thoughts and feelings. This doesn’t mean ignoring unwanted things, of course. However, I have found that the more happy and positive things that you look for, the more able you are to cope with unwanted things.
This comes from happiness giving you strength and bringing you into the present. This is where you make the only and therefore the best decisions for yourself, if you’re grounded or realistic and in touch with your intuition.
Don’t be flippant with happiness. Don’t treat happy things as once-offs and discard them. Rather, imagine yourself adding all your happy events into a beautiful basket of delicious things. You can even add happy times from your faraway past to your Basket of Happy!
Lots of happiness will spill over into joy! The more happiness you have, the happier you will consistently be. And you can choose to cultivate happiness.
The value of joy
Joy generates calmness, peace, and goodwill. It creates the space for relaxed alertness and for pursuing or continuing with joy-making. We don’t need to be always joyful, but being happy comes from the above and from being positive.
Joy fosters resilience and can even strengthen the immune system. Joy also encourages social connection and a sense of purpose, making life feel more meaningful and enriching.
Joy powers you to take the next right positive step. Happiness remembered and built upon can be converted to joy, through living in the present, imagination, and counting your blessings.
Joy is loving, suffusing kindness. You can generate the feeling of happiness or joy by dipping into your grab bag or your Happy Basket, even when the original inciting event has passed. JOY is an energy that you can recreate if you choose to!
Converting happiness to joy
Be happy with what you’ve got and trust that you will be provided for, with a full heart in love and service to the all.
You may not have the level of support or materialism that you prefer, but if you’re making ends meet, you’re sticking to your plans, and helping others as best you can, be happy.
Be happy that you’re working toward creating a better world. Unhappiness about the state of the world is unhelpful and conditioned.
Being happy about your good fortunes, the potential for positive global change, and about the resilience of life and the human spirit provides you with the clear and abundant energy needed to move towards meeting your goals.
Joy boosters
Create your metaphysical or actual Happy Jar or Basket or Joy Jar, into which you place moments of happiness and joy.
Happiness and joy start with self-validation and self-care.
In the middle you create and focus on as much happiness as possible.
Being calm and content is a form of happiness. You can consciously return to this state when needed, by focusing on your 💜 heart.
Think or say “I see you” to your heart while breathing in. Think or say Thank you “ as you breathe out. Or place your consciousness above your head, feeling a connection to the whole. Bring yourself to the present and to the space of connecting via your Soul (intuition) as an “ambassador” of Source (love).
Happiness means not clinging onto things that upset or annoy you. It means not worrying over the future. We all have concerns about some aspects of our future, but that need not spiral into resignation to or expectation of our wants not being fulfilled.
We may find something in the world to be unhappy about in the present, and if it’s related to direct things, this is understandable. However, we can take the time and effort to turn the tables and to find the positives.
Happiness can include doing our best to make ends meet. It can be about refining our coping strategies so we don't get so upset or annoyed easily. It's about trusting oneself to get something done. It’s about faith in Source to unify humanity.
JOY stems from:
Appreciation
Anticipation
Seeing a world of possibilities
Adding up your happiness
Taking and appreciating small steps
Validating yourself as capable of managing your thoughts and emotions
Faith in the Unified Field of Creation (Source) to facilitate unity
Joy is happiness crystallized into a moment of realization of the high vibrations of peace, happiness, and love, and of receiving upliftment or nourishment.
Pay yourself an abundance of happiness or joy. As a heart centred person, you thrive on peace, love and having your and everyone’s needs met. So, grab and generate joy as much as you can.
You deserve it.
As joy is the currency of well-being and sound relationships, take the time and effort to value and care for yourself by paying yourself happiness and joy.
